'Intersect' is a body of work which developed from a series of sketches which focused on documenting my perception of our surroundings. When I look at what’s around me, I like to look past the material of the whole and think about the construction, the base, the underneath form. It is important to do so in order to engage truly with what’s around us (rather than just walk by what we see with negligence) from a methodical, and different perspective of what is there. The work is a kind of existential obstruction. It’s about seeing our surroundings differently from before.
