Assistant Directors of Admissions (ADA) (3  Positions)

 

LaSalle College Vancouver is seeking three Assistant Directors of Admissions (ADA) to join our growing team.

 

Position Summary:
Responsible for recruiting qualified applicants for admissions to the school in accordance with provincial and federal accreditation and Institute policies and regulations, consistent with the highest ethical standards. The ADA is responsible for managing time and inquiry resources to generate interest in our programs.  The ADA must conduct a high quantity of prospect phone contacts to secure appointments and interview activity, and to conduct follow-up activity with unresolved interviewees and future class applicants.


Key Job Elements:

  1. Accurately and completely explain educational programs, expected outcomes, students services, and financial consideration to students, parents, and educators.
  2. Manage inquiries to achieve prompt contact and performance activity weekly goals; utilizes approved recruitment policies/formats; makes prompt and effective contact with inquiries and redirects unqualified candidates based upon incompatible career goals.
  3. Secures new inquiries (Personally Developed Referrals) by directly asking phone and in-person contacts about referrals of others to contact about the Institutes offerings.
  4. Schedules and conducts interviews, pursues qualified candidates for enrollment, and determines appropriateness of candidates for admission based upon career goal compatibility.
  5. Accurately forecast projected new students on a periodic basis for Camus Admissions Head.
  6. Consistently conducts follow-up meetings, monthly at minimum, with all applicants to ensure successful matriculation.
  7. Assists other personnel and departments with data collection and problem solving.
  8. Participates in appropriate recruitment and enrollment activities including: open houses, regional presentations, training sessions, orientation programs, career days, etc.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Organizational Relationships:
Reports to: Director of Admissions
Interacts with: Outside clients (potential students and their parents) staff and faculty.

 


Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

Knowledge:
a) Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field required.

b) Minimum of 1-2 years admissions recruitment or non-durable goods sales experience.
c) Possess a sincere interest in helping others achieve life goals.

 

Skills:
a) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
b) Strong interpersonal skills with both faculty and student populations.
c) Superior organizational and problem resolution skills.
d) Goal oriented and highly ethical.
e) Strong expertise with MS Office as well as field related hardware and software packages and systems for reporting features.

 

Required competencies include appetite for continuous learning; personal adaptability; initiative; job knowledge; credibility; student focus/service; professionalism; communication; teamwork/collaboration; problem solving; 

 

Abilities:
a) Ability to interact effectively as either a leader or as a member of a team and work collaboratively with other departments.

c) Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities.
d) Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.

 

Please note that this position requires the successful applicant to have a valid BC Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle that can be utilized when travelling on company business.
