POSITION SUMMARY

Lasalle College Vancouver (LCV) is currently seeking high energy presenters to be an integral part of our High School outreach team.

It also goes with saying that working as a High School Ambassador will be a BLAST!

In this pivotal and exciting role, you will inspire the next generation of creative minds through classroom presentations that showcase creative industries in media, design and culinary arts.

Your goal will be to inspire today's high school seniors to get EXCITED about exploring and pursuing careers in the arts!

In order to be considered for this role you must have a valid  Driver’s License, a clean driving record, plus access to a reliable vehicle.

You must also possess a flexible schedule that allows you to work a minimum of 1 and hopefully up to 5 days per week during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and be able to lift marketing materials and related equipment up to 25 lbs.

*****Experience working with High school students, in a paid or volunteer formalized classroom environment, is an absolute must*****

ABOUT THE JOB

As a High School Ambassador, you will be typically work 3-5 days per week.  If you have tons of exactly the right kind of experience or are incredibly gifted in giving presentations  AND classroom management, you may be asked to sign up for more.

Each presentation will be approximately 45 minutes with you required to be onsite 15 minutes prior to the start time to allow for set-up and 15 to 30 minutes after to answer any questions and to pack up your presentation materials.

Training will be provided as a supplement to the stellar marketing and presentation skills you already possess.

 

COMPENSATION

  • As a High School Ambassador you can earn anywhere from $150. for a half day of work (which is defined as 2 – 3 presentations) per day to $300. for a full day of work (which is defined as 4+ presentations).
  • Any leads that converts to an application will earn you a bonus of $100. and with an additional $200. if the student starts classes (to be paid 1 month after the start date).
  • If you work at least 3+ full days (i.e. 1 full day and 4 half days), you will earn an additional $100. for prep time and to cover any associated expenses.
  • If you work less than 3 full days, you will earn an additional $40. For prep time and to cover any associated expenses.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

In addition to the must haves that are listed above, in order to be considered as a High School Ambassador, you must have : 

  • An upbeat and friendly personality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong English language skills with additional language skills considered an asset.
  • The ability to successfully pass an online Criminal Record Check that we will conduct on your behalf.
