Team Lead

Canadian Second Language Institute (CSLI) is an award-winning language school located in in the trendy district of Yaletown in downtown Vancouver.  Since 1992, CSLI has been Canadian-owned and Canadian-run, providing quality and professional English classes for students from more than 95 countries, connecting each and every one to the world with English.

Position Summary:

Responsible for leading a team of motivated admissions advisors in accordance with provincial and federal policies and regulations, consistent with the highest of ethical standards.  The Team Lead is accountable for managing team time and resources to grow interest in language programming, and pathways.

The incumbent must assure that the CSLI philosophy of being a home away from home is upheld while maintaining and growing stakeholder relations.

Key Job Elements:

  • Oversee the setting, tracking and achievement of sales metrics and marketing goals assigned to our team of admission advisors.
  • Grow our agent database by further developing relationships.
  • Promote CSLI to current sudents.
  • Oversee agent and homestay relationships and effectively resolve issues and/or concerns.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with global market managers to make them aware of CSLI programming and attributes.
  • Prepares weekly activity and enrollment reports, monthly and annual forecasts.
  • Ensure the website is up-to-date and recommend changes as required.
  • Strategize, develop and maintain price and promotion details for agents and students.
  • Maintain an understanding of competitive offerings and the market to recommend revision of program offerings, launch of new ones, and promotion of programming.
  • Establish regular staff meetings to ensure communication, feedback and ongoing process improvement.
  • Ensure admission advisors are trained in exemplary sales and relationship development techniques.
  • Represent the school at major events to develop relationships and grow diverse country enrollment.
  • Manage a market as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Organizational Relationships:

Reports To:  President, Canada second Language Institute

Job Requirements:

a) Bachelor's degree but Bachelor's Degree in Marketing preferred.

b) Minimum of 3 years related ESL or international experience.

c) Minimum English plus one additional language.

d) Strong expertise with MS Office, particularly Excel, with an ability to learn other application packages including Microsoft CRM.
