Biography

Née dans la ville de Québec en 1998, Fatima Lemonde-Gérin poursuit ses études collégiales en Arts, Lettres et Communication au Collège LaSalle de Montréal depuis 2015. Elle a toujours su faire preuve d’ouverture d’esprit et elle s’est toujours intéressée à tout plein de choses différentes, mais le domaine artistique l’a toujours beaucoup plus attiré. En 2015, elle a obtenu son Diplôme d’Étude Secondaire à l’école secondaire Jean-de-Brébeuf situé à Québec. Suite à l’obtention de ce diplôme, elle a décidé de poursuivre ses études au Collège LaSalle se trouvant à Montréal. Cette décision lui est venue suite à la participation au Gala Relève Mode organisé au Collège LaSalle en 2014, qui lui a donné envie de continuer ses études au sein de cet établissement. Fatima est maintenant une finissante du programme d’arts, lettres et communication option arts et design au Collège LaSalle. La cause de l'environnement et du traitement des animaux lui tient beaucoup à cœur et cela se reflète dans son travail. Fatima, étudiante en Arts, lettres et communication propose de développer les thèmes de la surconsommation et de l’industrialisation pour son projet de finissant. Pour cela, elle décida donc de dessiner la ville de Montréal avec du fusain et aussi à l’aide de crayons graphites et d’autres matériaux qui servent à estomper le fusain. Elle souhaite démontrer et dénoncer à travers son œuvre que la ville de Montréal se dégrade et tout cela à cause des habitants de cette ville. En effet, selon elle la perte de plusieurs éléments de la ville est leur faute, puisque chaque action posée compte et à un impact. Elle souhaite encourager le public à faire plus attention à leur consommation. _______________________________________________ Born in Quebec City in 1998, Fatima Lemonde-Gerin pursued her college studies in arts, letters and communications at LaSalle College in Montreal since 2015. She has always been open-minded and has always been interested to all sorts of different things but the artistic field has always attracted him much more. In 2015, she obtained her Secondary School Diploma at Jean-de-Brebeuf High School located in Quebec City. After graduating, she decided to pursue her studies at LaSalle College in Montreal. This decision came to the fact that she had participate in the Rising Fashion Gala organized at LaSalle College in 2014, which made her wanted to continue his studies at this institution. Fatima is now a graduate of the Arts, Literature and Communication, Arts and Design Option program at LaSalle College. The cause of the environment and the treatment of animals are very important to her and this is reflected in her artwork. Fatima, a student in Arts, Literature and Communication, proposes to develop the themes of overconsumption and industrialization for her final project. To realise her project, she decided to draw the city of Montreal with charcoal and also with the help of graphite pencils and other materials used to blend the charcoal. She wants to demonstrate and denounce through her artwork that the city is deteriorating and all this because of the population of this city. Indeed, according to her the lost of several elements of the city is their fault. Because every action posed counts and have some impacts. She wants to encourage the public to pay more attention to their consumption and all of the bad habits that they have and that they can change.
