I construct a representation of colour in it’s true form. Colour in contrast to the human form and skin. The work focuses on the difference of the two when they interact, their contrast in terms of grainy, natural skin against clean, matte sharpness of colour. This series of portrait and still life photography, focuses on the relationship of aesthetics to the natural form of the human face. Incorporating vibrant colours along with a white overexposed effect, I am placing emphasis on the structure of the model’s face and strong lines of the neck and collarbone.
