MAGAZINE DESIGN, LAYOUT DESIGN, CONCEPT, LOGO DESIGN The 40FT is a conceptual magazine aimed at sustainable architecture, based on the reuse of ship containers. The 40FT name was inspired by one of the possible container sizes used for this style of eco-friendly designs. The font-letter utilized for the logo and banner are square to support the concept of a quadrilateral architecture. To reinforce the use of recycled containers as part of the architectural project, the logo background is a rust texture, inspired on the iron’s oxidation by the sea air. The colour palette of each edition is determined by the colour of the rust on the cover. The layout design of the magazine’s cover and contents follow straight lines with 45° and 90° angles, to reinforce geometrical shapes. For this magazine were created three versions of covers, all maintaining the same graphic style.
