Travels in Asia

This summer I went on a backpacking trip to Thailand and Northern China. I got to experience new cultures and saw some spectacular views.

Temple in Chiang Mai, Thailand

On an excursion in Chaing Mai, we had a private tour of multiple temples including this one. Our guide explained a little about the Buddhist beliefs and gave us a tour of the temple. He always brought us to a stair case which leads to the top of a hill. It is believed that if you successfully climb the whole stair case, you will go to heaven upon your death.

Willy's Elephant Camp, Thailand

While in Thailand, we visited an elephant sanctuary. We spent the day taking care of the elephants (feeding them, mixing their vitamins, bathing them) and learned a lot about their history and their temperaments.

Dolphin's Cove, China

While visiting China we had the opportunity to visit an aquatic park. Lucky we knew some of staff and the gave us a private tour of the park. We got to interact with different animals such as dolphins, belugas and seals. We learned how to staff trains them and takes care of the different animals.
