If one loves to eat, one must also acquire the skills and develop a passion for cooking; in order to succumb to the stomach’s desire. As for myself, I am fascinated with way certain dishes are meticulously arranged, prepared and served, down to very last drop of herbs and seasoning. After years of contemplating and seeking what my true passion is, I came across the Culinary program at the Art Institute of Vancouver. As a young man aspiring for his dreams and ambitions, being a professional Chef is the kind of career I want to pursue in my future. Since then, many individuals inspire me embark on this path. I envision myself in fulfilling more than what my profession will require of me. Such as participating in humanitarian missions, working at a finest restaurant, and sharing with the others a talent I aspired to achieve, master, and constantly improve. Fortunate enough, I reside in an area with various amounts of traditional food and with an exposure to multiple ethnicities. Given the opportunity to be exposed to various types of dishes has molded my perception of fine dining. As for my whole family, we come from a Filipino background. They also have the passion for cooking. I see the enjoyment in their eyes that without even saying a word, the food taste really good. Infusing a culture's traditions and love for food, you infuse and discover the beauty of learning through food. This is just the beginning and I'm excited for more things to achieve in the future.
I'd like to thank all the people who supported me through this experience especially to my family and friends and God.
