Understanding Quebec Diplomas
Diploma of College Studies (DCS) – Length: 2 to 3 years
There are two types of training that can lead to a diploma of college studies. On the one hand, there are the 2-year pre-university programs (Arts, Literature, and Communication, Social Sciences) that are theory-based. On the other hand, there are the 3-year technical programs that provide practical, specialized training in a variety of fields (management, IT, design, etc.) and prepare learners to dive straight into the job market.
Attestation of College Studies (ACS) – Length: 900 to 1395 hours
These Continuing Education programs are geared towards professional development or career changes. Daytime or evening classes allow learners to pursue their professional activities while studying.
